Privacy policy
No analytics, no cookies, no accounts. Last updated 17 October 2026.
What this site collects
This is a static website. It has no analytics, no advertising, no accounts and no forms, and it does not set cookies. Fonts and images are served from this site, so your browser makes no requests to other companies when you read it.
What is stored in your browser
The site saves two things in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and are never sent to a server:
- Appearance (
theme): whether you chose Light or Dark. If you leave it on System, nothing is stored. - Reading list and progress (
gm.reader): the articles you saved and how far you have read each one, so the Saved page and the series pages can show them.
To remove the reading list and your progress, use “Forget my reading history” on the Saved page, or clear this site's data in your browser's settings. If your browser blocks local storage, the reading list works until you leave the page and is then forgotten.
Hosting
The site is hosted on AWS (Amazon S3 and CloudFront). Like any web host, it may record technical information such as IP addresses and the pages requested in server logs, for security and to keep the site running.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to data processing
- Data portability
